1% Better, 1 Thousand Times
If you’re happy with the number of views you get, the number of leads you generate, and the response you get from your audience, then this email is not for you.
For most of us, we’re on the prowl for ways to improve.
And, since most of us have been in the game for a while, we’re past the big easy steps that can have a 10%, 50%, or 100% impact on our videos.
We’re happy to consistently get 1% better and know that it will compound with time.
But, a lot of folks stop at the 1% better framework and don’t take time into consideration.
Getting 1% better each video, but doing one video every 2-3 months will only yield a 6-7% improvement by 2025.
If you post infrequently, Are you getting 1% better on each revision?
Could you increase your frequency by 50% and shorten your time to the next 1%?
The math on how to do this is simple and clear.
It usually comes down to a matter of will and discipline.
Can you consistently show up and do the work? Or does your focus wax and wane by the week?
Do you have the willpower to do the work that others won’t? Or does that degree of commitment scare you?
Most of the stuff we have to re-do is simple, but not easy.
Rewrite the script one more time.
Push through a 5th round of revisions, even though the 4th version is pretty good.
Put a second brainstorming session on your calendar even though you got 37 ideas from the first session.
Wanting to get 1% better is not a differentiator. Doing it often is where the magic happens.
When we were starting to use Video to market our business, we felt like we were shouting in the dark.
We might have been getting 1% better, but it felt impossible to tell if that was the case.
So, last year, we designed the Piper Video Guild to help lead other marketers through that difficult season into the light of videos that consistently perform.
Check out this testimonial from one of our members.
