šŸŽ„ Find Your Niche

How do you find your niche?

Finding your niche is arguably one of the most difficult things for a content creator to do. How do you establish your unique voice on a platform with consistency, creativity, and showcase your skills?

Compounding Creativity is what creates a Niche.

Allie Bennett made her own niche by taking a trending workout (ā€œhot girl walksā€), with trending music (Taylor Swift, Lizzo, etc), to create the viral Treadmill Strut Series.

FaithsFresh broke into Food TikTok by using the fast-paced editing style of some of the most popular creators, but put her own twist on it by inserting her personality:

She includes one of those mixing shots. Every. single. video.

Marley.Makes.Things is another great example:

Marley is an artist that specializes in hand lettering and tactile art.

She has worked with brands like Walmart, Aerie, and Russel Stover to create one-of-a-kind hand lettering pieces for various campaigns.

In her most recent job with Aerie, she shared her creation process from beginning to end.

In this job alone, here are some of the hard skills she used:

  • Camera Operations

  • Graphic Design

  • Stencil Creation

  • Hand Lettering

  • Cooking (or blendingā€¦)

  • Food Styling

  • Food Photography

  • Photoshop

  • Storytelling

  • Video Editing

What started as a love of typography, design, and lettering for Marley turned into a food-specific niche that lends itself to many other creative skills.

Donā€™t take for granted the skills that quickly start stacking up when you decide to document your work, progress, or life.

Your storytelling will get sharper. Your editing will get cleaner. Your personal style and voice will being to shine through

Assess your skill stack, make some magic, and watch that magic compound.
