Welcome back Elite Video Marketers 👋
Look, I get it. Sometimes you’re under a time crunch and simply don’t have the bandwidth to scout multiple shoot locations or diversify the look of a video.
What’s the easiest way to hack this?
Turn It Around
Film Booth Ed recently explained how he tried to create a viral video with 5x LESS EFFORT than he typically puts into a video.
The entirety of the video is super interesting and I recommend watching it for the other creative ways Ed cuts corners in his production, but the technique I want to talk about today is the quick angle switch:
As you can see, these four shots are visually quite different lighting-wise and background-wise.
However, they were all shot within the same 2 square feet.
The easiest way to achieve this is to go outside, but you could also use 4 different areas of a room.
Is it the perfect method? Maybe not.
Does it provide visual diversification which will ultimately increase viewer engagement? Yes. Try it if you’re in a pinch.
Have an ELITE Week,
Hannah
